With expansive grounds, breathtaking views, elegant art galleries, and gorgeous architecture, Maryhill Museum of Art is an unforgettable Columbia Gorge wedding venue.
In addition to wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions, venue rentals at Maryhill Museum of Art are available for corporate picnics, company holiday parties, executive retreats, meetings, and other special events.

Venue Spaces
Grand Lawn
Framed by old-growth trees with a backdrop of Maryhill’s Beaux-Arts chateau-style architecture and jaw-dropping views of the Columbia River Gorge, the Grand Lawn is a versatile space that transforms from an intimate ceremony venue to a spacious setting for wedding receptions and other social functions.

Cannon Power Plaza
The Cannon Power Plaza, overlooking the stunning Columbia River Gorge, is an expansive venue blending the majesty of nature with the appeal of award-winning architecture. Situated where the Beaux-Arts architecture of the historic museum building meets the sleek modern architecture of the Bruce and Mary Stevenson Wing, the Cannon Power Plaza can flex in ambiance and size for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and social events.

Stonehenge Memorial Monument
Amazing views of the Columbia River, Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams, vineyards, and bucolic golden hills surround the Stonehenge Memorial, a unique monument fashioned early in the twentieth century as a 1:1 scale replica of England’s Stonehenge. This venue, just three miles east of the museum, is a striking destination for an intimate wedding ceremony.
- Capacity: 50 standing or seated ceremony

- Constructed as a memorial to the fallen soldiers of WWI, Stonehenge Memorial is open to the public dawn to dusk every day of the year and we cannot give exclusive use to any group at any time
- The historic Stonehenge Memorial is also available for commercial photography and film, for use by car and motorcycle clubs, or for other events.
Venue Rental Add-Ons
Maryhill Loops Road
As a fun, unique wedding weekend activity or corporate event amenity, rent the private use of historic Maryhill Loops Road for automobiles. Constructed as the first macadam asphalt-paved road in the state of Washington and as the prototype for Oregon’s historic Columbia River Highway (Hwy 30), this winding road consists of 3 miles of well-maintained private road with 14 hairpin turns escalating to breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge, vineyards and orchards, ranchlands, and the Cascade mountain range.
Access to Museum Galleries
Invite your guests to enjoy a relaxed tour of our art galleries and current exhibitions. Options are available for self-guided tours during public hours before your event, or docent-guided tours during public hours or after hours.

Murdock Charitable Trust Education Center
With spectacular panoramic views of the Gorge from its south-facing glass wall, this versatile event space has a ceiling mounted projector, making it perfect for conference meetings, special anniversary events, company receptions and social gatherings. Group box lunches may be ordered from our onsite café.

What does the venue rental fee include?
The venue rental fee includes access to the museum venue space(s) booked for use and all standard staffing and cleaning fees included. A refundable cleaning deposit is required in addition to the venue fee. Clients are responsible for providing their own rentals, tent and dance floor rentals, catering, and A/V.
What lodging options are nearby?
Indulge with a stay at any of the region’s lovely bed-and-breakfast options or other unique venues! Nearby standard accommodations include clean, comfortable motels in Goldendale (15 minutes from the venue) or The Dalles (20-30 minutes from the venue); unique and intimate boutique-style hotels in Lyle, Bingen, and White Salmon (35-45 minutes from the museum); and lodging options for every guest preference in Hood River (45 minutes from the museum. Be sure to check out Vacasa, AirBnB, and VRBO for one-of-a-kind lodging options such as yurt glamping, historic and modern home rentals, and other gems located 10-45 minutes from the museum.
What catering options are available?
We work with caterers in Hood River, White Salmon, The Dalles, and Goldendale, as well as select caterers from the Portland/Vancouver area. Maryhill Museum of Art is not equipped with a catering kitchen so all cooking must take place outdoors in a catering tent or arrive pre-made.
Do I need an event coordinator?
Yes! Maryhill Museum of Art requires that each event has appointed or hired a day of event coordinator or event planner. This person or persons will act as the main point of contact and decision maker for museum staff to ensure clear communication and timely executiton and a flawless, memorable event.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
Rentals may take place any time between March and November; however, prime weather conditions for weddings in the drier east Columbia River Gorge are between April and October. Please be advised that the weather can be windy and change quickly! We highly recommend that all of our clients rent a tent with sides for guest comfort in case of wind or inclement weather. We allow one complimentary reschedule up to 60 days before your event.

Maryhill Museum of Art, the fine art museum of the central Pacific Northwest, is a nationally accredited museum and nonprofit organization serving thousands of visitors annually. Venue fees are used toward the museum’s educational programs for area residents, such as school field trips, as well as exhibitions, public programs, museum collections care, and care of our historic properties and campus.
