Jan grew up on the East Coast and moved to the Gorge after graduating with a BA (art history) and BFA (photography) from Cornell University. She has been a professional graphic designer for over 25 years and is currently the marketing director for Copper West Real Estate, based in Hood River. She has done design work for numerous businesses and organizations throughout the Gorge and Portland. Jan is passionate about creativity and supporting the Arts in our community. Jan has served on the board of the Hood River Cultural Trust, the gallery committee of The Columbia Center for the Arts, and most recently on the board of Gorge Artists, which organizes the annual Open Studios Tour and Art of Community, which advocates for public art in the Gorge and created the Big Art Sculpture Tour. Jan lives in Hood River with her husband and three children.
