Exhibition Overview: The 1946 Lelong Dance Dress
Created as a limited-time extension of the Théâtre de la Mode permanent collection exhibit, visitors are treated to an intimate display of a fashion mannequin wearing a 1946 Théâtre de la Mode ensemble that is sometimes attributed to Lucien Lelong’s senior designer, Christian Dior.
The mannequin will be shown in concert with historic photos and period advertising related to the Lelong atelier and Christian Dior’s New Look.
