Queen For A Day: Afternoon Tea & Fundraiser
Embrace your inner royalty and be Queen for a Day! The pleasure of your attendance is requested at an Afternoon Tea to help Maryhill Museum of Art raise funds for the preservation of our recently acquired fashion collections and celebrate the legacy of museum cofounder Queen Marie of Romania upon the 100th anniversary of her dedication of the museum.
Loïe’s: The Museum Cafe will serve assorted teas in antique china teapots alongside a tower of savory treats, enchanting sweets, and scones with preserves and clotted cream.
Guests are encouraged to embrace their royal identity wearing their favorite Crown, Tiara, or Hat. Whether your taste is elegantly classic or wildly creative, you will be graciously welcomed!

Featuring a presentation by Dr. Steven L. Grafe, Curator of Art: Mother-in-Law to the Balkans: Textiles from Southeastern Europe at Maryhill Museum of Art with an update regarding the fundraising success of our 2025 Tea.
How Will Funds Be Used?
Funds raised from ticket sales, Royal Raffle ticket sales, and individual contributions designated to this purpose help Maryhill Museum of Art care for and preserve our recently acquired fashion collections. The Collections & Exhibitions Committee aids the Maryhill Museum of Art Board of Trustees and staff in recommending objects to add to the museum’s collections, whether by donation or purchase, and takes part in fundraising for acquisitions to the collection, professional conservation, collections storage and care management, exhibition loans, and exhibition displays.
Maryhill Museum of Art plans to mount a forthcoming exhibition of Balkan textiles, made possible in part by the generosity of contributors at the Queen For A Day tea.

Seating for 1 | $70 ($25 tax-deductible)
Raffle tickets will be sold at the door.
If you book seating and are unable to attend the event, your purchase will be converted into a 100% tax-deductible donation. Seating for this fundraising event is extremely limited.
