Join us for a global celebration of the Romanian blouse, an international symbol of Romanian culture and an inspiration for some of the world’s greatest designers and artists. Try your hand at embroidering traditional motifs or designing a new ball gown for Queen Marie. Make a replica crown or a martinitza doll to give away for good luck. Embark on a treasure hunt through the museum’s Romanian galleries and collect a reward. Free on the East Ramp of the museum.
This program is presented in connection with the exhibition A Particular Beauty: Romanian Folk Clothing, on view at Maryhill through November 15, 2020.
